Woman found in a pool of blood in Vijayawada

Vijayawada: An old woman was found naked in a pool of blood at the railway station in Vijayawada on Wednesday.

On observing the women injured severely, the railway sanitary staff shifted her to the hospital.

According to reports, the old woman was attacked by blade batch in Vijayawada railway station. The police suspect that she has been raped. The facts would be known only after the victim recovers. Now, she is undergoing treatment in a hospital.

Nancharamma of Vuyyuru, Krishna district, was found with bleeding bruises on Platform No. 8 in the railway station.

The police found that she was wounded on the neck and even on her private parts. The police suspect that role of blade batch or ganja batch behind the brutal act.

The gang members could have attacked her for money and the scene of offence establishes evidence that they might have raped her as well.

The police found a basked beside her and predict that she might have been selling dry fish. The police are verifying the CC footage on the platforms to zero in on the culprits. The motive behind the brutal act is yet to be known.can be established only after getting the medical report and inquiring the victim, police said.
