State Bank of India (SBI), the largest public sector banking giant, will have its internet services disrupted for a few hours on Saturday. SBI said that along with SBI internet banking services, Yono, Yono Lite and UPI services will also be discontinued during this period. The service will be suspended from 11.30 pm on Saturday to 4.30 am (300 minutes) on Sunday, SBI said on its official Twitter account.
SBI said services were being disrupted as part of a technology upgrade process. SBI has asked its customers to co-operate with this inconvenience in trying to provide better banking services. SBI has 22,000 bank branches and 57,889 ATMs across the country. On October 8, as part of a similar maintenance operation, SBI Internet services were disrupted for a few hours. SBI Tweeted, "We request our esteemed customers to bear with us as we strive to provide a better Banking experience."
