Murder in Ameerpet

Hyderabad: A 56-year-old man working as an officer with the National Remote Sensing Centre in the city was found murdered in his house at Ameerpet on Tuesday. The SR Nagar police have sent the body for an autopsy to  Gandhi Hospital.


According to the police, S Suresh Kumar, 56, who worked as an officer in the Photo section of NRSC, was found lying in a pool of blood at his flat in Annapurna Apartments on Dharam Karam road.


Suresh Kumar lived alone, his wife Indira, a senior general manager of a national bank, is stationed in Chennai. His son lives in the USA and his married daughter lives in Chennai.


Punjagutta ACP M Thirupathanna said the investigation so far shows that Suresh Kumar reached home on Monday evening and was seen by his neighbours. On Tuesday, the police were intimated by his wife that Suresh was not taking phone calls.
