Telangana was formed based on the hopes of employment

Hyderabad: There are about 450 vacancies in the various departments of the Telangana government in Group 1 and Group 3 services alone, reveals an RTI response. However there is no notification from the Telangana State Public Service Commission as there was no official government order for them. Telangana was formed based on the hopes of employment, but is going back on it, lament students.

In the administrative wings in various universities, there are about 137 vacancies of junior assistant cum typist and junior assistant posts and in the Rural Water Supply and Sanitation department there are about 188 posts of the same category vacant in Group III services.

When it comes to Group I services, about 142 posts of deputy collector, municipal commissioners, commercial tax officers, district employment officers are lying vacant in various departments in Telangana state.  

The RTI applicant said, “Telangana state was formed as youth struggling without employment were frustrated. Even after Telangana formation, many are still struggling as there are not enough government jobs created as was promised earlier.”
