Hundreds gather at Former AP minister Mukesh Goud's funeral

Mula Mukesh Goud was an Indian politician and a legislator belonging to the Indian National Congress. He served as Marketing Minister in Government of Andhra Pradesh. He died of cancer in Hyderabad. 


The mortal remains of former minister and Congress veteran M. Mukesh Goud were cremated inside the graveyard near the JRC Convention Centre in Raidurg on Tuesday with full state honour. Mukesh Goud, 60, passed away on Monday in a hospital of the city while undergoing treatment.


His eldest son Vikram Goud lit the pyre as hundreds of people including relatives and politicians gathered at the cremation site to pay last respects to the leader.


Earlier, Mukesh's body was brought in a flower-bedecked vehicle to the Gandhi Bhavan from his residence in Jubilee Hills, where several senior leaders of Congress paid their tributes.


The body was then taken to Raidurg for the cremation.
