mother injured.. baby was died due to the building collapse

A 14-month old baby died and her mother suffered severe injuries after the slab of the of the building in which they were living, collapsed at Sitaphalmandi this morning.

Following the incident, locals immediately rushed the duo to Gandhi Hospital.The baby succumbed while undergoing treatment and her mother Swati is said to be critical.

According to locals, a new building was being constructed adjacent to the old building (single room) and the workers at the new building were taking up curing works. This apart, rains have been lashing city and the portion of the old building’s roof could have caved in because of this, local residents suspect. GHMC officials, including the EVDM teams have rushed to the spot and took up relief measures.
