Government suspended 9 KMC staff due to the for making TikTok videos

The Telangana government suspended 9 outsourcing staff of the Khammam Municipal Corporation for making TikTok videos in office. The videos made by civic staff went viral on social media across the state and telecast by mainstream news channels. The videos have drawn criticism from the public for making videos during office hours instead of working. Khammam Collector RV Karnan issued a memo to Khammam Municipal Corporation Commissioner seeking explanation on TikTok videos. Based on his explanation, the Collector suspended outsourcing staff.
