Hyderabad: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) senior leader N. Indrasena Reddy on Tuesday found fault with Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) working president K.T. Rama Rao for holding a review meeting with principal secretary-level officers.

Mr Reddy pointed out that as per protocol a legislator can hold a review meeting only with the officials of his district. Only a minister can hold review meetings with senior officers like principal secretaries.

The TRS working president, who is only an MLA, called senior officers for the meeting, Mr Reddy told mediapersons at the BJP office here. He said that holding a review meeting with senior officers made it appear that Mr Rama Rao was acting like a de facto Chief Minister.

He demanded that the state government release a White Paper on the status of agriculture as the state is facing a drought. He asked the state government to take steps to support the farmers.
