22-year-old Woman falls from moving train, dies

Hyderabad: A 22-year-old woman died while attempting to pick up her mobile phone which slipped from her hands and fell on the floor of the the train at Begumpet railway station.


According to the RPF, Madhavi Ashwni boar-ded the train at Sita-phalmandi railway station to go to Nature Cure Hospital where she wor-ked. As she was standing near the door and talking on cellphone, the train started with a jerk and the phone fell on the doorway.


Nampally RPF Sub-Inspector M. Komora-iah said, “When she bent down to pick up the phone, the compartment shook  again and she fell into the gap between the platform and the train. Reportedly, she was dragged for some distance and her body was severed into two parts.”


The RPF has shifted the body to Osmania General Hospital for autopsy.
