Hyderabad: Bolaram sub-inspector Sankoju Brahma Chary and constable M. Nagesh were arrested by the ACB for accepting a bribe of Rs 20,000. The ACB alleged the cops demanded a bribe of Rs 25,000 from complainant K.N.Ambi-ka and her husband Narsing Rao so as to not arrest him in a crime case under Section IPC 324 (punishment for voluntarily causing hurt by dangerous weapons) and 384 (punishment for extortion).

The ACB said constable Nagesh first accepted Rs 10,000 from the complainant at their house and another Rs 10,000 was transferred to his personal account. The ACB laid a trap and caught them.
