13 suspects were taken into custody

Hyderabad: As many as 13 suspects were taken into custody and 26 vehicles were seized by the Cyberabad police during a cordon and search operation in Kukatpally and KPHB on Saturday night.

Late at night on Saturday, a team of around 200 policemen, including armed personnel, participated in the cordon and search operation conducted in Kukatpally, under KPHB police limits.

During the operation, the police verified the antecedents of the residents and took custody of 13 persons. The detainees were found to have contacts with criminals.

The Cyberabad police said that the antecedents of the suspects would be verified to check if they’ve ever been involved in criminal activities.

Further, 23 bikes and 3 autos were detained from the possession of the claimants for the lack of valid documents to support their claims.

The locals’ needs were also identified and would be addressed in time, said the police.
