TRS candidate files papers for MLC poll

Hyderabad: Mr K. Naveen Rao, a Telangana Rashtra Samithi candidate for the Legislative Council seat, on Tuesday filed nomination under the MLAs quota.


Chief Minister and Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) president K. Chandrasekhar Rao had announced the candidature of Mr Naveen Rao for the seat under the MLAs quota which became vacant with the resignation of Mr M. Hanumantha Rao after he was elected as MLA from Malkajgiri constituency in the recent Assembly elections.


Telangana Rashtra Samithi working president K.T. Rama Rao and several other leaders of the party accompanied Mr Naveen Rao when he filed his papers before the secretary of the Assembly.
