Update on KCR's Chandiyagam

The five-day-long Chatruveda Paraspara Maharudra Sahasra Chandiyagam commenced amid the vedic chants at the farm house of Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao at Erravelli village of Siddipet district here on Monday. Chandrasekhar Rao and his wife Shobha Rao conducted pujas overseen by the Visakha Sarada Peetham head pontif Sri Sri Sri Swaroopananda Swamy and with the blessings of the Sringeri Peetadhipathi Jagadguru Bharati Teertha Swamy.

Chandrasekhar Rao and his wife began the Chandiyagam in which ‘Ganapathi Puja’, ‘Shuddi Punya Havachanam’. ‘Rithvic Varnam’, ‘Chaturveda Parayanam’. ‘Yagashala Pradakshinam’, ‘Gopuja’, ‘Gurupuja’, ‘Navagraha puja’ were performed. Several members of Parliament, Legislative Assembly, Legislative Council and other elected representatives attended the yagam.

The yagam also called as ‘Raja Shyamala Yagam’, is being performed by Chandrashekhar Rao for the overall benefit of the people, successful continuation of welfare and development initiatives, abundant rains with bountiful of produce. From various places nearly 300 seers have participated in the yagam.
