Hyderabad: With the people heading to their native places during Sankranti, the metro trains leading to LB Nagar station witnessed heavy footfall on Friday evening.Schools, government offices and several IT companies have already declared holidays which coincided with the weekend. The commuters chose to take a metro ride to reach the bus stations over RTC buses, cabs and other means. On the other hand, the metro line between Ameerpet and Hitec City will be opened to commuters in the month end which will bring huge relief to the IT people from the traffic snarls.
