Hyderabad: Fed up with the wife's constant Whatsapp chat, a man committed suicide on Friday in Pet Basheerabad after she had gone to her parents' home due to the frequent quarrel between the two. According to Petbasheerbagh SI Srinivas, Charantej Reddy (25), a native of Pulivendula in Kadapa district was residing at Vajpainagar in Chintal for the last five years. He was earning his living by driving an auto-rickshaw. Two years ago, Charan fell in love with one Pavani and got married to her. The duo has a one-year-old son.

A few days ago, Charan and Pavani had a heated argument over her constant Whatsapp chat following which she left her son and went to her parents' home. Depressed over it, he hanged himself to the ceiling fan. Hearing the cry of the toddler, neighbours reached to Charan's home on Friday morning who was found hanging. The police registered a case and sent his body for post-mortem.
