Police arrested 5 persons for selling gutka of worth Rs 16 lakh

Jangaon:  Five people were arrested on Thursday for selling gutka worth Rs 16 lakh in Naremeta mandal of Jangaon district. The police also seized three vehicles and Rs 70,000 cash from their possession. According to the CP V Ravinder, Raju along with Mudupu Raju, Boddula Srinivas and Mali Laxman was into the illegal business of selling banned gutka. The task force sleuths on a tip-off raided the house of one Siddam Raju in Bothalabarre village of Narmetta mandal and seized 40 bags of banned gutka packets.
