RRR is a multi-starrer PAN Indian level film with a huge budget of Rs.450 crores. The film which was initially planned to release on January 7th was postponed. The new release date of the movie will be announced once the Covid-19 situation subsides.
Recently, a petition was filed in the Andhra Pradesh High Court against the RRR movie. Veerabhadra Rao, national president of the Alluri Youth Association, has filed a petition in the high court alleging that Alluri Sitaramaraj's life is being distorted in the film. He said that the film was showing absurd fantasies about Alluri's life.
The petitioner also alleged that there was no mention in the history that Alluri Sitarama Raju and Komuram Bheem had met together. The producer was asked to order the removal of scenes that distorted history to this extent. He also said that Alluri Sitaramaraju who fought against the British should not be shown as the British Police.
Alluri Soumya has recently filed a petition in the Telangana High Court against the RRR film. In her petition, she said that it was not right to make a film against the life of Alluri and Komuram Bheem.
However, the film team did not respond to the petitions yet. The film helmed by S.S.Rajamouli stars Ram Charan as Alluri Sitaramaraj and NTR as Komuram Bhim. Alia Bhatt, Ajay Devgan, Shriya and Samudrakhani are playing pivotal roles.
