Based on a popular Indian play Shakuntala by Kalidasa, the film features Samantha Ruth Prabhu in the titular role of Shakuntala and Dev Mohan as Dushyanta.
Sam recently made interesting comments aimed at women. "Women need to excel in the film industry. There is a need for women to excel as directors and writers," she said. It is the responsibility of all men to promote women in the industry. The industry will become more powerful if women enter the industry. I am very interested in working with women directors. It is known that Nandini Reddy directed the movie 'Oh Baby` starring Samantha in the lead role. This is also the first film in which Samantha has worked with a female director.
