Indian Actor who mainly works in Telugu cinema, Prabhas is one of the highest-paid actors in Indian cinema. He is the youngest child of film producer Uppalapati Surya Narayana Raju and Siva Kumari. He is often refered as "Darling" and after Bahubali as "Pan-India Star".
Prabhas started his career in Telugu cinemas in 2002 with his movie 'Eeswar' and made breakthrough with the movie 'Varsham' in 2004. He appeared in movies Raghavendra, Adavi Ramudu, Chakram, Chatrapathi, Pournami, Yogi, Munna, Bujjigadu, Billa, Ek Niranjan, Darling, Mr. Perfect, Rebel and Mirchi thereafter. Among these Chatrapathi, Bujjigadu, Billa, Darling, Mr. Perfect and Mirchi have been a commercial success. Chatrapathi had a 100-day run in 54 theatres and Mirchi won him the Nandi Award for Best Actor.
In 2015, Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Tammanah and Anushka starring epic action film 'Bahubali : The Beginning', directed by S.S.Rajamouli was released. It is the fourth Highest grossing Indian film to date and the second highest grossing Indian film is the sequel 'Bahubali 2 : The Conclusion'. It is the first Indian film to gross over 1,000 crore in all languages in just 10 days. This movie made him a PAN India star. After becoming a Pan-India Star he starred in 'Saaho' directed by Sujeeth with 433 crore gross over.
Prabhas has 5 latest upcoming movies among which 3 movies- 'Radhe Shyam', 'Salaar', and 'Adhipurush' are set to release in 2022.
He has received received a total of 6 awards and 13 nominations including 7 Filmfare Awards nominations, the Nandi Award and the SIIMA Award. He has been named the 'Most Handsome Asian Male' in the Fancy Odds annual list. He is the first South Indian actor to receive a wax sculpture at Madame Tussaud's wax museum. Prabhas is also the brand ambassador for the Mahindra TUV300 car.
