Amaravathi: TDP MP from Nandyal,SPY Reddy quit Telugu Desam Party and joined Jana Sena Party in the presence of Pawan Kalyan on Wednesday. It is learnt that he would be announced as Nandyal MP Candidate of Jana Sena Party.

SPY Reddy won on YCP Ticket in 2014 Elections inspite of TDP, BJP and Jana Sena contesting together. He, however, shifted loyalties to Telugu Desam soon after the elections. To his shock, TDP Leadership preferred Mandra Sivanand Reddy for contesting from Nandyal MP Segment in 2019 Polls. Miffed with the decision of Chandrababu Naidu, SPY Reddy thought of contesting as Independent initially. That is when Jana Sena Leaders came in touch with the Sitting MP and offered ticket. The Senior Politician felt it's better to contest on Jana Sena ticket rather than as Independent. Today, SPY Reddy reached Vijayawada along with his Daughter to join Jana Sena Party. This development happened only with the assurance on MP Ticket.

Jana Sainiks mayn't be pleased with this move of Pawan Kalyan if the talk about MP Ticket is true. Many of the party activists question how could we trust someone who is known for opportunistic politics. They feel Party Leadership should have offered the ticket to a newbie or some other leader who worked sincerely for the party without bothering about the winning chances.
