New Delhi, Jan 7 (IANS) Two days after violence broke out in the Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), the issue continued to trend on Twitter as users posted comments both in support and against those suspected of involvement in the incident.

There were others on Twitter who advised action against whosoever was involved, irrespective of their political affiliations.

#JNUTerrorAttack trended with 100K tweets and #AisheGhosh with 9,012 tweets.

A user micro-blogging site Twitter wrote: "Hindu Rashtra Dal's Pinky bhaiya takes onus for #JNUTerrorAttack so dalli police lodges FIR against Aishe and the victims! Why are we not surprised...because Orange is the New Black!'

A post read, "#letsTakeOurCountryBack from separatist, opportunist, rioters and photo framed protest! let's keep faith on people who have elected a govt. Let's keep faith in democracy and not in #TukdeTukdeGang"

A user remarked: "Those who termed Durga a prostitute and Afzal a shahid are now expecting sympathy from the nation. RIP drama company."

One user commented: "Violence is condemnable, irrespective of whichever side is behind it...this is 2020 and not Indira Gandhi's Emergency rule..."

"Don't be a mute spectator and take strict action against whosoever are involved in this barbaric act. Remember not only India but the whole world is witnessing this...elections are coming, and so if you are worried about your chair, it is high time you listen to the youths and other citizens."
