Ramanathapuram (Tamil Nadu), Feb 22 (IANS) Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) President Amit Shah on Friday said Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led government will not let the sacrifice of 40 CRPF troopers to go in vain.

He also said the NDA will win 35 Lok Sabha seats out of 39 in Tamil Nadu.

Addressing the party workers here, Shah recalling the killing of 40 troopers belonging to Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) in Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama district, said: "Among those killed were two bravehearts from Tamil Nadu - G.Subramanian and C.Sivachandran."

Ramanathapuram is about 550 km from state capital Chennai.

Shah said the Modi-led Central government has zero tolerance towards terrorism and it will not allow the blood of 40 dead CRPF troopers to go in vain.

The BJP leader is coming to Tamil Nadu for the first time after the party struck an alliance with the ruling AIADMK. The AIADMK also sealed a pact with PMK.

He urged the party cadres to work hard so that the NDA can win all the 40 Lok Sabha seats in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry.

Shah said it is important for the country that Modi becomes Prime Minister again.

In the upcoming war to make Narendra Modi as Prime Minister again, the NDA will win over 35 in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry, he said.

Criticising the Congress-DMK combine as corrupt, Shah said both the parties will not work for the welfare of the people.

Shah said the Congress-DMK combine was involved in Rs 12,000 crore corruption.

According to Shah, the NDA government has given more funds to Tamil Nadu than what the Congress-led UPA government gave earlier.
