The flyover between Goraguntepalya-Nelamangala on Tumkur Road was closed on Saturday due to repairs, increasing congestion at Nagasandra metro station. Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) on Tuesday opened the 'B' entry for passenger convenience. The 'B' entry is on the highway towards Bangalore, while the 'A' entry is kept towards Tumkur. Large queues have been seen at two counters at the terminal station since Monday.
The congested 8-mile flyover was closed on December 26 for replacement of rusty cable found during a routine inspection. And we installed an extra luggage scanner here to reduce the waiting time for passengers. The closure of the flyover caused a huge traffic jam on Tumkur Road. " We have enough space on the trains to handle it,” Shankar said.
