Congress MLA Jagga Reddy asks KCR to add Dengue in Arogyasri

Hyderabad: Congress MLA Jagga Reddy has requested Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao to include dengue in the list of diseases under the Arogyasri scheme.


Speaking to media on Thursday, he said that in every house two or three persons are suffering from dengue.


Hospital bills amounting `60,000 to `1 lakh are being levied upon the poor, he said.


He also said he will write to China Jeeyar Swamy requesting that a trust be set up to collect funds from the godman’s devotees to give financial help to poor cancer patients.


He said several rich and prominent persons such as Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao, AP Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, and businessman Rameswara Rao visit China Jeeyar Swamy and would be able to donate funds for this cause.
