Hyderabad: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national executive member and MLC N. Ramachandra Rao slammed minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav for questioning the BJP’s claims of its

base increasing in the state.

Mr Rao said, “Srinivas Yadav’s statements show that the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) and the Congress are two sides of the same coin and both are scared of the BJP’s growth in Telangana state. We have won with a majority of 70,000 in the four Lok Sabha seats. The Congress won by 10,000 to 20,000 votes so he should realise that the BJP is growing and not the Congress.”

Mr Rao said the Central government had given a lot of funds to Telangana state and would continue to do so and the TRS government should not ignore the money.

“By using bad words and hurting sentiments of Hindus, KCR is trying to appease the MIM. If KCR has the courage then arrest Akbaruddin and Asaduddin Owaisi immediately,” he said. The TRS was a friend to the MIM which was opposing the abrogation of Article 370.

“The stand to oppose the abrogation of Article 370 is anti-national,” he said.

“The TRS had claimed that it would win all 16 seats in the Lok Sabha election but failed badly,” Mr Rao said.
