GHMC town planner caught accepting a bribe

Hyderabad: A section officer serving at the town planning department of the GHMC’s Charminar division was caught accepting bribe of Rs 15,000.

The accused, one  Syed Ashraf Ahmed, was caught at Jama Masjid– Siddiamber Bazaar on Friday.

The money was meant for an official favour that is to not stop the construction of the complainant’s house. The money was recovered and the accused was arrested and produced before the special court for ACB cases.
