TRS MP from Nizamabad K Kavitha on Friday asserted that her party is not B-team of either Congress or BJP and would fight the Lok Sabha elections on the issues concerning people of Telangana. Addressing media persons, Kavitha who is also the daughter of Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao and represents Nizamabad constituency in the Lok Sabha, said, “We are not anyone's B-team, we are B-team only of people of Telangana, unlike Congress which only seeks political advantage.TRS thinks of the next generation, not next election like Congress and BJP who are 2 sides of the same coin.”

She made the statement after Rahul Gandhi dubbed TRS as B-team of BJP. She also termed alliance between Jana Sena and BSP as a political stunt and said, “I have not seen Pawan Kalyan talk much about Dalit issues. To me, it looks like a political stunt. The real issue will be whether he fights alone in Andhra Pradesh or with Chandrababu Naidu. He will have to give an explanation to people on that.” She further underscored that the TRS will help a better political party come to power in Andhra Pradesh.

Kavitha also lambasted BJP and Congress and claimed that they did not pay heed to any issue pertaining to Telangana. “BJP has not done anything for Telangana neither did Congress. BJP is such a party that despite being in power for five years never supported our regional issues,” she said.

“Issues of Telangana state can only be resolved when there are more number of MP's in Parliament. People of Telangana have understood this factor and they will be supporting us in the upcoming election. TRS is a party which is a local party in Telangana but has the vision to work on national and international issues as well. Local parties with global perspective will certainly lead tomorrow,” added Kavitha.

Kavitha also alleged that both BJP and Congress have misled people on the name of Ram Mandir or Masjid or Rafale and Bofors. “BJP, Congress or any other so-called national parties have never shown any empathy towards local issues of states. They have never actually done any development in the nation,” she told .
