TS: 90-Year-old women contesting for Sarpanch post

Khammam: Age no bar for the 90-year-old Eda Rathamma to contest in the elections to serve people. Rathamma, a native of Thummalapalli village of Penuballi mandal in Khammam district had served as a ZPTC member and lost in the gram panchayat polls for three times. Aiming to develop her village, Rathamma contesting in the elections for the fourth time.


On the other hand, a 22-year-old woman elected as sarpanch unanimously in Balya tanda in Meripedda mandal of Mahbubnagar district. She had done B.Tech from CVR college of engineering.
