Amaravati, Nov 23 (IANS) Telugu Desam Party (TDP) MLC G. Deepak Reddy on Monday sought to know if Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) ministers had asked for 'one chance' from voters to usher in an all round demolition and destruction in Andhra Pradesh.

"Two years before the 2019 polls, Jagan Reddy along with a private election consultancy firm did social engineering to divide AP along caste, religion and regional lines while the then CM Chandrababu Naidu was busy completing various development projects for the unjustly divided AP state," claimed Reddy.

Eventually when the voters gave YSRCP 151 MLA seats out of 175, Reddy alleged that the current CM and his council of ministers are misusing power for their selfish goals.

"They did not bother to fulfill over 400 promises made during his state-wide Padyatra," alleged Reddy.

According to the TDP MLC, the YSRCP government cancelled over 34 programmes launched by the erstwhile TDP government, including anna canteens which were popular among the poorer sections.

"Sunna vaddi (zero interest) was being given to only 14 lakh out of the total 64 lakh farmers. Liquor rates were increased by three times in the name of prohibition," he asserted.

Reddy questioned why the chief minister could not allegedly construct even a single house as against his padyatra promise of giving 25 lakh houses to the poor.

"What's more, the government was not even handing over houses that were already constructed by the TDP regime. There were no efforts to get special status despite the YSRCP having 28 MPs," the TDP leader claimed.

He alleged that the ruling party caused a loss of Rs 50,000 crore to farmers by stopping the Polavaram project and 40 irrigation projects.

"The CM promised to continue Amaravati capital before the elections but now his rule did not put a single pail of concrete in the past 18 months," he said.

Reddy said YSRCP has no moral right to boast its reign as 'Rythu Rajyam' (farmers' kingdom) and claimed that the state stood third in the number of farmer's suicides.

Reddy said the chief minister has done injustice to the youth, workers and farmers by breaking all his promises.

He said the YSRCP chief did not live up to the promises he made with regard to job creation, DSC posts, ST status for valmikis, PRC for employees and cancelling contributory pension scheme.

"SC sub plan funds were cut short from Rs 8,400 crore to Rs 4,300 crore. The BCs have lost over 16,800 jobs because of the YSRCP reservations policy," he claimed.
