Vijayawada: A final year BSc Nursing student has made a police complaint against a nursing correspondent for seeking sexual favours from her for passing her in the exams. The correspondent has been arrested. A relative of the student said the correspondent, Ramesh, of Grace College, Machilipatnam, had abused several girls of the third year, who were too scared to complain. The relative also alleged that the College correspondent is a member of NTR Health University and hence it was easy for him to threaten the girls into doing what he wanted.

Speaking to the media, the nursing student said that she left the hostel because of the harassment of the correspondent.

She said that the correspondentcontinued to harass her. Sub Inspector R. Pet of the Machilipatnam police told Deccan Chronicle that the college correspondent S. Ramesh was sexually harassing the girl and threatened to fail her if she did not have sex with him. She rejected him and he had failed her.

On the complaint of the victim, a case was registered against the correspondent and the investigation has begun.
