Gangapuram Kishan Reddy is an Indian politician and the current Minister of State for Home Affairs in Government of India. He is a Member of the Bharatiya Janata Party.

Taking a cue from Telangana state, where the saffron party won four Assembly seats, senior leader and Union minister of state for home G. Kishan Reddy expressed confidence that his party would become the only alternative in AP to the ruling YSR Congress as the Telugu people in both states were providing patronage to the Bharatiya Janata Party.

Mr Kishan Reddy said this in Vijayawada on Sunday when he visited the city to take part in the BJP’s membership drive. He said the BJP gaining momentum in Telang-ana state because the people were seeking a change from the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) governance. The assurances given by Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao to bring in quality changes in governance failed to take off, he said.

In Andhra Pradesh too, he said, people were against the TD as its chief N. Chandrababu Naidu, despite claiming to be in politics for nearly 40 years, failed to understand the pulse of the voters and wanted to play a dominant role in national politics.
