President to pay a two-day visit to Tirumala

Ram Nath Kovind is an Indian politician currently serving as the 14th President of India, in office since 25 July 2017. Previously he had served as the Governor of Bihar from 2015 to 2017 and was a Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha from 1994 to 2006.


TIRUPATI: President Ram Nath Kovind is likely to pay a two-day visit to Tirumala to offer prayers at the abode of Lord Venkateswara on July 13 and 14.


According to sources, the President will arrive at Tirupati airport on July 13 by a special aircraft from where he will be driven to Padmavathi guesthouse at Tirumala He will stay there for the night.


On July 14 morning, the President will have darshan of Lord Venkat-eswara and return to the guesthouse.


After a brief stay, the President will leave for the Tirupati airport, from where he will take special aircraft back to New Delhi.


Tirupati (urban) police district SP K.K.N. Anbu-rajan, who has been su-pervising the security arrangements, mainta-ined that in view of the President’s visit, elaborate security arrangements were being made at Tirupati and Tiru-mala.


Additional forces will be deployed along the road from the airport to Tirumala, he added.
