AP: SSC exams started on peaceful note

Amaravathi: A total of 55,414 candidates attended for SSC Public Examinations which commenced on Monday. A present percentage of 99.65 was registered on the first day. According to Krishna District Education Officer MV Rajya Lakshmi, for first language paper I, as many as 196 candidates were absent. District Collector and Magistrate Imtiaz visited three examination centres on the first day of the SSC examination. The District Education Officer visited seven examination centres and the DLO visited five examination centres.


Flying Squads visited 68 examination centres. According to the DEO, there was no report of malpractice from any centre in the district. Examinations were held at all 269 centres peacefully under the supervision of 2,700 invigilators. She said that most of the centres are near to the police stations and treasury offices. All the answer papers would be kept under the custody of 61 police stations. As many as 61 custodians and 61 joint custodians were deployed at the examinations centres, which are far away from the police stations and treasury offices. In each flying squad team, there will be one officer from the Educational Department, one from Revenue Department, a Sub-Inspector and one Armed Reserve Police, she added.
