New Delhi, Nov 20 (IANS) In a recent research report by Environment Management and Policy Research Institute (EMPRI), it was revealed that the use of wastewater for cultivating vegetables has led to a heightened concentration of heavy metals in the produce.
The study involved the examination of 400 samples from 10 different vegetables across Bengaluru, uncovering contamination levels that exceed the permissible limits set by the Food and Agriculture Organisation.
