Dangers of intake of too much Ginger

Ginger is an indispensable ingredient in Indian cuisine. Ginger is added to the diet not only for its taste and aroma but also for its health benefits. It has a pungent odor and is used in many countries around the world. Ginger is used in all non-vegetarian dishes.

Ginger has been used in Ayurveda since ancient times for its medicinal properties. Although ginger offers many health benefits, it can also cause some serious side effects. Doctors say that eating too much ginger can lead to many accidents.

Blood pressure problems
People taking antihypertensive drugs are advised not to eat too much ginger. Because it causes a severe decrease in blood pressure.

Diarrhea
Diarrhea may occur if ginger is taken in large doses. This is because it accelerates the passage of food and feces through the intestines.

Not safe During Pregnancy
Although it can reduce nausea in pregnant women, it increases the risk of miscarriage. It is not dangerous if the dose is less than 1500 mg per day. Excessive intake of ginger during pregnancy can lead to acid reflux and heartburn. Mothers who have lost significant amounts of blood during childbirth should avoid ginger during the postpartum period.

Bleeding Increases
Bleeding may be increased by eating ginger. This applies not only to ginger, but also to the food to which it is added. Some nutritionists believe that bleeding may be due to the antiplatelet (blood thinning) properties of ginger. When taken with other herbs such as cloves, garlic, ginseng and red clover, ginseng further increases the risk of excessive bleeding.

Low blood sugar levels
Ginger usually helps in the treatment of diabetes. But it can have negative effects when taking medications for diabetes. It enhances the effects of medications and lowers blood sugar.
