WhatsApp, the popular messaging platform owned by Facebook, has become a part of everyone's life. Despite the recent criticism of WhatsApp Data security, it continues to be one of the most popular instant messaging apps. Its advanced features are the main reason for its popularity. WhatsApp is constantly adding new features to impress users.

It introduced a new feature now the 'self-chat' feature. This feature works like a charm notepad. This means that your monthly billing, to-do list, shopping list, important dates, and meetings can all be recorded. You can also save important documents, files and photos. This feature is also useful for quick access to key documents on mobile without the need for repeated searches.

To use this feature open any browser on your desktop or mobile. In the address bar, type wa.me// followed by your 10-digit mobile number along with country code (no spacing). Hit search.

If you are using the desktop version, a prompt window will appear asking you to open WhatsApp. Then click on the 'Continue to Chat' option. A new window will open with two options to download WhatsApp or WhatsApp Web. If you do not have WhatsApp app on your laptop, download it or select WhatsApp Web. You can then enable the self chat feature. In the case of mobile users, WhatsApp Chat‌ will open automatically. Mobile number and profile picture are displayed.

WhatsApp has recently released some features. Introduced the Joinable Calls feature for those who missed group calls. Those who miss group calls can join that group call with just one click. This was not possible in the past. It also adds end-to-end encryption to backups in Google Drive and iCloud. The Disappearing Messages feature allows users to choose between 24 hours, seven days and 90 days. Emoji Reactions feature is also coming in WhatsApp.
